Product scope

AdBlockX is a content filter for Safari on Mac, iPhone, and iPad, requiring macOS 14, iOS 17, or iPadOS 17 or later. It is free to use, with no in-app purchases, subscription, or account. Future product or pricing changes will be communicated separately.

Descriptions, instructions, and filtering illustrations explain the product. Illustrations are not actual website test results or product screenshots.

Use and controls

Choose filter categories, make website exceptions, or pause filtering. Enable the extensions in your device’s Safari extension settings after installation and reload pages after changing filter settings.

Use the product lawfully and respect third-party rights. App Store downloads and distribution are also subject to Apple’s applicable terms.

Filtering and compatibility

Results depend on websites, Safari, and bundled rules. AdBlockX does not guarantee blocking every ad or tracking request and does not provide anonymous browsing. If filtering affects a site’s appearance or operation, disable it for that site and reload.

Rules ship only with app updates and do not promise real-time coverage of website changes. We reasonably maintain the product but do not promise compatibility with every website or uninterrupted operation. These statements do not exclude rights provided by applicable law.

Rule sources and separate licenses

Ad, tracking, and Chinese supplement rules come from EasyList, EasyPrivacy, and EasyList China, credited to The EasyList authors and their respective maintainers. Rules are merged and converted for Safari, and unsupported syntax may be omitted.

Bundled source lists and converted data use CC BY-SA 3.0, separately from the proprietary app code. Your rights to copy, modify, and redistribute the rule data are not restricted by the proprietary app terms. Full sources, modification notices, and licenses are available to view and export in the app’s Third-Party Licenses.

Branding, design, and other proprietary website and app content belong to their respective rights holders. Use of third-party rules does not imply endorsement by their authors.

Feedback and privacy

Feedback is voluntary. Review reports and attachments before sharing and avoid passwords, credentials, or private content. Our privacy policy explains information handling.
